In December 2022, Sandra embarked on this catering journey with no prior knowledge but sheer determination to succeed. She left her corporate job for good and has never looked back. Her killer drive has brought her this far, and it continues to grow stronger every day.
Sandra is joined by her husband, Henry, who initially came on board as a BBQ Setup & Maintenance Technician. Together, they have nurtured Savoury Gal, Sandra’s brainchild, into what it is today.
Their reputation is built on bold flavours, exceptional sauces, and cheeky personalities. One taste, one chat, and you’ll be a full blown addict.

Meet Sandra
Sandra is the warm and passionate founder of Savoury Gal, affectionately known in the area as the “Hood Chef.” Her inspiring journey as one of Sydney’s most gun club manager turned beloved BBQ caterer. Her stories is as rich, fruitful, sassy and flavourful as the dishes she serves!
With a natural talent for event planning and a flair for creating unforgettable experiences, Sandra handles all the behind-the-scenes details that ensure our events are flawless. Whether she’s organising market stalls or coordinating private parties, Sandra’s meticulous attention to detail and dedication to exceptional service make every event a success. Her friendly ‘can do’ personality and commitment to creating memorable moments ensure that each gathering is special and enjoyable.
Meet Henry
Henry is the culinary mastermind and taste tester behind Savoury Gal. Known to clients and friends as the “Sous-Chef”, Henry takes BBQ to the next level with his unique blend of skills and passion. Henry’s BBQ journey started as the ultimate “Good Husband”—spending countless weekends taste-testing Sandra’s bold BBQ creations. From there, he decided to dive deeper into the culinary world, mastering the arts of BBQ setup, grill cleaning, and being the ultimate all-rounder at events. With his self-proclaimed title of “BBQ Setup & Maintenance Technician”, Henry is here to handle every BBQ detail, big or small.
